Jéssica Morais explored the concepts of business models and data spaces in the healthcare sector and addressed the complexities of identifying sustainable business models for digital health technologies within a data space framework. The session underscored the importance of engagement and experience-sharing among stakeholders. Adhering to health regulations while progressing toward a European Health Data Space remains a significant challenge for all countries. Additionally, developing a viable and sustainable business model for companies within a data space requires a deep understanding of the value that drives stakeholders, their interactions, and the level of analysis within the data space. The workshop highlighted the lack of a universally applicable data-space business model and the need for tailored models to create unique value and facilitate exchange among actors.
